About.Tracy has lived in James City County with her husband for over 23 years but enjoyed life recreation on the Chickahominy River long before that. She has raised 4 children in the community and been active in a variety of organizations and activities.
Having a background in education, Tracy and her husband stayed connected to the local school community but chose to homeschool their children. With one graduated from college, two attending Virginia Peninsula Community College, and the last getting ready to wrap up high school, Tracy is ready to take her passion for James City County, common-sense legislation, responsible taxing and spending, and a vision for the future grounded in reality into public service. In addition to homeschooling her children for the 17 years, Tracy has also worked as a freelance writer, become a multi-published author, and speaker. She's traveled throughout the eastern coast states for the last 15 years sharing encouragement with writers and women's groups. Tracy has also held various jobs in the county to include working as a substitute teacher for WJCC Schools, interning in WJCC schools, and working with the County in collaboration with Virginia Cooperative Extension and on the JCC County Fair. Tracy also has remained active in church, local, national, and international missions, and community organizations throughout the years, leading a needs-based community dinner for several years, helping with an annual clothing giveaway, leading a local women's conference, and creating and serving as the Board Chair for Aiming High Homeschool Group. |
